Awesome to hear your account of such an exceptional period in Grateful Dead history. The Eleven was played with such urgency during the month of February 69', Dang, you also saw Janis!!!!

Thanks. During one of the sets Janice had to leave the stage for a bit of rehab and her band played without her. This was between Big Brother and Cosmic Blues. I recall loving alligator that night but now hearing the whole show I see I saw a great one! The dark star is cut of course and Dupree’s and Mountains of the Moon are lost at this time. But grab a DS, Dupree’s and MotM from a surrounding show and all will be made fine again. I saw them all over NY and NJ till 73 when I just felt crowded out by the scene. Took a hiatus till 81 which meant I missed a lot of great shows. But the archive is such a treasure cave! God bless the Grateful Dead and all her fans.
